Mia Mélange products handcrafted in our studio in Stellenbosch, South Africa
A lifestyle film featuring Mia Mélange products
A thank you note to everyone who ordered face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic
In celebration of the September 2020 reopening of the V&A Waterfront's Watershed after being closed for five months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they put together a beautiful film featuring some of the local businesses. A film crew came to our studio in Stellenbosch and captured some stunning moments! And of course Babsy enjoyed being on camera!
Mia Mélange teamed up with Mieke Droomer Architects to create a limited-edition range of hand-drawn 100% cotton face masks, exclusively for VISI! And it's for a good cause! All proceeds from the Visi collab masks will be donated to FoodFlow. Visit www.shop.visi.co.za to buy!
Mia Mélange is an all-women team. We had a discussion for Women's Day, 9 August 2020. We asked ourselves the following questions: 1. What are your favourite three things about being a women? 2. What word do you think best describes women? 3. What word of encouragement do you have for other women this Women's Day? Watch the video to see our answers!

Good eyesight and access to eye-care professionals is something not to take for granted. Visual impairment negatively impacts quality of life as well as the ability of affected individuals to be economically active, having detrimental effects in developing countries such as South Africa. At Mia Mélange, we've had artisans joining our team who were clearly struggling with their eyesight and who had never in their lives been to an eye-care professional. Luckily for us, we have the most wonderful neighbours, Bril! Bril founded a non-profit called VisionBox which brings vision care to people in need. Their vision is to make optometry accessible to all. The work they do is incredibly valuable and life-changing. Please read more here.
